SBR is part of a team of law firms representing hundreds of American victims of Hamas terrorist attacks conducted in Israel. Following a six-week trial, a federal jury in New York yesterday found that the plaintiffs proved that Arab Bank of Jordan provided material assistance to Hamas and caused the injuries suffered by the plaintiffs. As a result, the jury returned a verdict for the plaintiffs under the American Anti-Terrorism Act. The Arab Bank case is the first civil Anti-Terrorism Act case involving claims against a financial institution that proceeded to trial. SBR, which has been part of the plaintiffs’ litigation team for the past ten years, commends the extraordinary efforts of the lead trial lawyers and congratulates the hundreds of victims and clients who have moved forward one step on the long march toward justice.
